The old saying of “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” undoubtedly applies to the Nissan Juke NISMO with some equates it to a squatting gargoyle. Other sees the crossover vehicle as an alternative to the more familiar MINI John Cooper Works and FIAT 500 Abarth. Given just how popular the car is in Europe however, Nissan decided to update the design for the 2014 model year. Introduced during this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the 2014 Nissan Juke NISMO RS features a new V-Motion front grille, RS badges throughout, special brake calipers in red and LED daytime running lights. Tweaked to give 18 more horsepower, the 1.6-litre DIG-T engine is now capable of 218 horsepower with 280Nm of torque. To compensate for the increase in power and speed, engineers from Nissan strengthened the chassis’ stiffness as well as a larger set of ventilated brake disks.
Not just the vehicle’s exterior, re-appointed Nissan Juke NISMO RS’ interior in suede and the performance-centric vehicle line’s signature red accents. With NISMO branded steering wheel, pedals, gauges, gear knob and door trims, drivers have the option to add Recaro sports bucket seats, Xenon headlamps, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and more.
Comes in three colors - White Pearl, Black Metallic and Silver Grey, the 2014 Nissan Juke NISMO RS is available now at select Nissan dealerships across Europe.
