Saucony's DXN Trainer was originally created in the '80s with direct input from one of the most accomplished and prolific runners in the history of the sport, New Zealander Ron Dixon, the first athlete to ever to clock both a sub-3:53 mile and a sub-2:09 marathon. The Saucony DXN Trainer is now set for a retro release as part of the "Lodge" Pack, and as the name suggests, the design was inspired by Ron's New Zealand rugged home country, and more specifically, a weekend at the lodge. The two available styles -- Camo and Wool -- are complemented with red long-john linings and a grippy gum-like rubber outsole. Look for the kicks to launch exclusively through Saucony on January 15.
