Childish Gambino's music video oeuvre skews toward whimsy and absurdism, and oftentimes a surprising moodiness. His latest clip for "Sober," off the rapper's Kauai EP from 2014, is no different. Directed by Hiro Murai, the video takes place entirely within the confines of a takeout restaurant (Donald Glover does enjoy his bottle episodes, after all), where an-anything-but-sober Glover attempts to woo a fellow patron. His initial efforts -- awkward and downright creepy -- eventually seem to win over the object of his affection. Meanwhile, the synth-heavy song is an R&B/pop confection, full of sweetly earnest crooning. Check out the video below.
