Porsche has introduced the 2016 Cayenne Turbo S at this year's Detroit Auto Show, and this latest version lays claim to the title of world’s fastest SUV, with a confirmed lap time at Germany's notorious Nürburgring race track in just 7:59.74. (The lap time trumps the 8:14 figure Land Rover claims for its Range Rover Sport SVR.) Under the hood is a re-engineered 4.8-liter V8 twin turbo engine that now generates 570 horsepower and 590 ft-lb of torque, which enables a 0 - 62 mph in 4.1 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the previous model. The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system drives the rear wheels, while offering fully variable power distribution to the front wheels when needed. Additional features include massive carbon ceramic brake discs as standard, measuring 16.5 inches up front and 14.6 inches in the rear. There are 21-inch alloy wheels with 911 Turbo design, LED headlights, and full-leather interior and new interior styling in black-crème color. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will be launched in Germany in the second quarter of 2015 with prices starting at 166,696 EUR (196,850 USD).
