For his Fall/Winter 2015 presentation at London Fashion Week, local designer Oliver Spencer sent his models down the runway to the rollicking beat of a live band, the Turbans, and the old-world instruments were the perfect sonic complement to the classic pieces on display. The creative inspiration here was the work of British artist and sculptor David Nash, which meant plenty of earth tones, florals and natural fabrics, including alpaca, recycled cashmeres and super-fine lambswool. The silhouettes featured boxy suit jackets, cropped trousers and bombers jackets, as well as turtlenecks oversized to comic proportions. Quilted nylon jackets and trousers added a touch of modern city living to the collection’s country gentleman vibe.
