adidas Originals is kicking off the global re-launch campaign of the iconic Superstar with the opening of The Superstar Experience in New York City. The exhibition chronicles the history of the Superstar, examining its roots in New York City basketball culture and the area's burgeoning underground street style. Not only will visitors be taken through a journey into the shoe's past, they'll have a glimpse of future executions and interpretations of the iconic model. They include first looks at the redesigned Superstar for 2015, the adidas Originals NYC Rivalry Superstar collection, and the Pharrell Williams Supercolor collection. Over the next month, the space will serve as a stage, a gallery, a classroom and an incubator for creativity and self-expression.
The adidas Originals Superstar Experience, located at 138 Wooster Street in NYC, is open on weekends starting today, and will run through Sunday, February 15th. Check out a video recap of last night's kick-off party, a private event hosted by Bobbito Garcia with special guest Joey Bada$$ and music by DJ Stretch Armstrong.
