Footpatrol x New Balance M1500FPK "Encyclopaedia"
London's Footpatrol has teamed up with New Balance on the retro M1500 silhouette, featuring a design inspired by an equally retro reference book, the Encyclopaedia Britannica, which was published in a total of fifteen editions from 1768 to 2012. The build uses a tonal black upper featuring a combination of leather and suede, with metallic gold accents throughout. Special details include a gold embroidered "N" logo on the shoe's lateral side and a blacked out "N" on the medial side, as well as a custom interior tongue tag. A sockliner printed with an anatomical illustration of the human foot -- representing the sort of scholarly information one finds in the pages of an encyclopedia -- while an off-white midsole evokes the pages of the hefty tomes. The Footpatrol x New Balance M1500FPK "Encyclopaedia" launches in-store and online starting January 24. Keep in mind purchases are limited to customers within the EU.
