This year's SIHH trade show saw Panerai unveil a special Luminor model, one featuring a 47mm case constructed from Carbotech, a revolutionary composite material partially made from carbon fiber. Otherwise, the Luminor Submersible 1950 Carbotech 3 Days Automatic watch is rooted in history, featuring a design inspired by the kind of watches worn by Italian Naval Divers in the late '40s. Under the hood, one finds Panerai's own automatic P.9000 calibre, composed of 197 components and equipped with a power reserve of up to three days. Additional features include a rotating bezel with a graduated scale, rubber dive strap and a titanium case back with hard black coating.
