New York-based sneaker boutique Extra Butter has teamed up with Reebok to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their Ventilator silhouette, which first made its debut back in 1990. Around that time, New York City also saw a rise in popularity of street food. Once dominated by hot dog stands, the streets of Manhattan are now lined with halal carts that sell steaming hot plates of lamb, chicken and rice, lovingly nicknamed "street meat". Inspired by what is now a staple in NYC culture, Reebok and EB have announced the "Street Meat" Ventilator, featuring shades of yellow, brown and red, paying homage the ingredients and sauces that make up that delicious meal we love so much. It even comes with a custom designed yellow bag. Release info for the Extra Butter x Reebok "Street Meat" Ventilator will be out soon so be sure to check back for updates. In the meantime, check out the trailer and a preview of the shoe below.
