Known for their large, diverse, and versatile line of multi-tools and pocket knives, Leatherman now extends their reach into the wearables game with their soon-to-be-released tool bracelet, the Tread. The revolutionary and unique new piece of gear from the American brand will have 11 interchangeable links that each have a few tools integrated into their design – ranging from screwdriver heads to even a small cutting edge. The Tread will come in various styles and sizes and can be arranged as either a bracelet or a full accessory with a timepiece. In total, this piece will have up to 25 tools, many of which may be utilized without taking the links out. While the ease for everyday wear may be different from person to person, Leatherman did note that user feedback to-date has been positive in that regard, but specifics on weight haven’t yet been released. If you want the dial included, the Tread Watch will contain a Swiss quart movement with a durable sapphire crystal glass over the dial, water resistant down to 200 meters. While obviously targeted at the military/outdoor/preparedness customers, Leatherman did note that the watch is TSA compliant and could help you stay prepared in situations where a traditional multi-tool or leather belt pouch wouldn’t fit the situation. See more after the jump and look out for more details about its scheduled release later this year with an expected price between $150-200.
