For more than 35 years, the widely recognized Sidestripe has been featured on two of Vans' most iconic silhouettes, the Old Skool and Sk8-Hi. Having started out as a random doodle by Vans founder, Paul Van Doren, it was originally referred to as the "jazz stripe" and remains as a distinctive mark of the legendary skate brand. To celebrate many years of the beloved design, Vans Classics has released their "Sidestripe Pack" for Spring 2015, featuring three new offerings that bring a playful twist to one of their most popular models. The Old Skool is reimagined with a leopard Sidestripe against a bright red body, while a tortoise pattern gives contrast to a toned down khaki colorway. Lastly, a "cork" Sidestripe looks great on a High Rise Grey upper, giving it a classic but unique look. All three boast suede toe and heel caps, canvas uppers and gold eyelets. Each member of the Vans Classics Sidestripe Pack goes for $60 and is available now at participating Vans stockists. Take a closer look below.
