adidas and Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto have been working together for over ten years for their luxury sportswear division Y-3. After the success his main line, Yamamoto expanded and started his Y's collection. Collaborating once again, the pair have reworked the classic adidas Superstar, combining the cultures of street style and high fashion. Renamed as Y’s Super Position, the revamped sneaker is made using premium materials including suede lace on the stay, soft leather for the lining and smooth leather for the toe box, which normally uses the textured shell we are used to seeing. Coming in minimalistic colorways of white and black, the Adidas Consortium x Y's Super Position will prelaunch at Y's stores on January 31 and be available at No74 Berlin, No42 Paris and select adidas Consortium retailers on February 7.
