Reigning champs, the Seahawks faced off against the Patriots last night in one of the most watched Super Bowls in recent history. The highly anticipated sporting event is always one to look forward to, not just for the game and commercials but for the annual spectacle that is the halftime show. Following an epic list of performers that include Madonna, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars, Katy Perry joined the ranks this year putting on an explosive show featuring some of her biggest hits. Riding in on a giant mechanical tiger dressed in Jeremy Scott, she sang "Roar" and followed up with "Dark Horse" as the floor turned into a huge chess board. She was then joined by rocker Lenny Kravitz for a special duet version of "I Kissed a Girl". Perhaps the most interesting songs of the night were "Teenage Dream" and "California Gurls", where she was joined on stage by living beach balls, palm trees and sharks. A big surprise of the night was when Missy Elliott came on stage to perform a medley of "Get Ur Freak On", "Work It" and "Lose Control". After Missy's set, Perry returned to close out the show with "Firework" as she shot across the stadium on a lit up star.
