Founded in 1995 by brothers Felix and Thomas Baumgartner along with artist Martin Frei, Geneva-based watch manufacturer Urwerk is known for creating complex avant-garde timepieces. While most of their designs come on a leather strap, the expert watchmakers created a very special edition piece in 2011 featuring a metal one. For 2015, they introduce the Urwerk UR-210S "Full Metal Jacket" marking the return of the bracelet. Featuring the technical complexity the brand has come to be known for, the UR-210S is made from titanium and steel and measures at 43.8mm wide, 53.6mm long and boasts a thickness of 17.8mm. A sapphire crystal case allows for 30 meters of water resistance and a single mainspring barrel gives it 39 hours of power. With 51 jewels and Super-LumiNova treatment on the markers dials, indexes, hands and satellites, this watch is an absolute beauty. The Urwerk UR-210S "Full Metal Jacket" will be limited to an exclusive 35 pieces and is priced at around $157,000.
