Michael Jordan entered the NBA as a rookie in 1985, and in the intervening years he would go on to transform the game and American sports culture at large. Starting out with a single shoe, the athlete and the brand would go on to become virtually synonymous with pinnacle performance and a never-ending pursuit of greatness. Thirty years later, the legacy lives on in a new generation of basketball athletes, including Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jabari Parker and Kawhi Leonard. While they draw inspiration from MJ's example and proudly wear the Jumpman, they are not Michael, but they are all Jordan. To celebrate 30 years of chasing greatness, Jordan Brand will kick off the anniversary celebration at the NBA All-Star weekend, from Thursday, Feb. 12 to Sunday, Feb. 15, featuring distinctive spaces where fans can join the celebration.
