Japanese fashion designer Junya Watanabe was a longtime protégé of Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons. He started out as a patternmaker and went on to create a line under CDG before launching his own eponymous label. Always on the frontline of innovation and style, Watanabe teamed up with classic American denim brand Levi's to collaborate on a two-piece collection of updated denim jackets. The reimagined staples feature Levi's expert denim knowledge and Watanabe's remarkable aesthetics to create two completely unique designs. The Dobby is made with solid dark-wash denim construction and printed elbow patches with leather detailing on the pockets. The Patchwork does justice to its name with a denim and cottn patchwork design in hues of blue with leather accents on the elbows and back yoke. The Levi’s For Junya Watanabe MAN Spring/Summer 2015 denim jackets are available at select retailers now.
