For visvim‘s Fall/Winter 2015 collection, brand mastermind Hiroki Nakamura looked to his own travels to devise the collision of cultures evident in the designs. A cross-country U.S. road trip with his family played a pivotal role, reinforcing Hiroki’s habit of mixing classic American designs and traditional Japanese manufacturing methods. it’s seen on the Navajo prints that cover the oversized kimonos — a combination that isn’t as incongruous as it sounds —  to hybrid Japanese workwear bombers. Chambray shirts, embellished with vintage bandana prints, continued the Western theme, while outerwear pieces covered in fluttering pieces of fabric were a testament to Hiroki’s willingness to blaze new trails.
