For many the Nike Cortez is the first shoe that comes to mind when they think of Nike. The all white upper with the red swoosh with a blue striped white mid sole all sitting atop a herringbone ridged sole is the epitome of classic Nike. Who could forget when Forrest Gump acted Pandora’s part, lifting the orange lid and gazing upon Bill Bowerman’s revolutionary merging of comfort, simplicity and durability, a sight so inspiring that it (allegedly) led to the invention of jogging. 43 years later, the first Cortez colorway is back, sporting the original foam tongue and everything. You can check out detailed images of these classics below, and grab your pair on Saturday, February 28 at Nike.com.
