After working for a number of large tech companies, Dan Miller began his own venture with Fresh Sessions. After graduating college, he got into songwriting and was looking for a place to record his music. Frustrated with the process, he decided to create a solution for budding artists everywhere that wanted to book studio time. With his background in coding and technology, he was able to lay down the groundwork for Fresh Sessions, which now acts as a liaison and allows for musicians to book recording sessions with no trouble at all. He made sure to create a seamless experience for both parties, ensuring to minimize clicks and landing pages. After starting off in San Francisco, Miller has recently launched in New York and plans to expand to Los Angeles, Nashville and Atlanta. "I think entrepreneurs need to be able to see the future," he said, hoping to continue his efforts in the tech industry. Having achieved a great deal of success, he now gives back to the community through Black Girls Code, a non-profit that provides technology education to African-American girls, and Oakland Digital, another non-profit trains design students to create social media marketing campaigns for under resourced women-owned small businesses.
