British fashion designer Nigel Cabourn draws inspiration from vintage apparel he has been collecting since the 1970s. He takes a classic sensibility and his love for old work wear to create stunning menswear apparel. Recently, he teamed up with UK-based heritage brand Fred Perry to collaborate on a collection for the Spring 2015 season. The range takes cues from Nigel’s self-confessed love of Table Tennis and includes cleanly reimagined iterations of the iconic Fred Perry tennis shirt. One in particular borrows from Cabourn’s design from 25 years ago and features color blocked cut-and-sew panels and the original 1950s Laurel Wreath. “Fred Perry is a Brand that I think runs in some ways parallel to the Nigel Cabourn Brand, both truly British brands inspired by British heritage and wherever possible manufacturing everything in the UK,” Cabourn said of the project. The Fred Perry x Nigel Cabourn Spring 2015 Collection is available now online. Check out the full lookbook below.
