Yesterday at a special press event at the New Museum in New York City’s Lower East Side, Nike officially unveiled the Nike Golf Club Collection. The apparel side of the collection is styled and tailored for the modern golfer, for whom training, versatility and contemporary style are all at a premium. Kelly Tweeden, VP/Category Creative Director of Golf, was on hand to convey the story of the collection. “Our players are getting more and more athletic, and they really are in top shape,” She said. “You want minimal distraction, you want close to the body, you want the best fit possible.” Consequently, pieces like the Swing Movement Polo are constructed from Dri-FIT in form-fitting silhouettes, cut for ease of movement and styled for wear on and off the course. Special-edition footwear is finished in triple-black colorways with perforated leather for sleek aesthetic, while bucket hats and caps offer protection and an expression of personal style. Accompanying the collection will be special-edition equipment, like Tour level-tested resin balls in limited colors. The Nike Golf Club Collection will be available March 23rd through Nike.com and select Nike Golf retailers.
