In typical mid-life crisis fashion, Nissan goes big to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of their high-performance supercar. Launched as the GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Edition, Nissan adorns the car with a special Silica Brass color, which is the same colorway that treated the R34 2001 Skyline GT-R M-Spec. In addition to the anniversary paint, the Gold Edition will also see a gold tone VIN plate in the engine compartment, a commemorative plaque on the interior console, and five more horsepower under the hood versus previous years as this 2016 is based on the Premium Edition model. Only 30 will be available for purchase in the United States, but 2016 will also see the release of Premium, Black, and NISMO editions if you don't have the time or $102,770 in cash to buy a Gold one. Let the gold rush begin.
