Behold the Triumph Salt Racer, a customized 2008 Triumph Thruxton purpose built to set a new DLRA (Dry Lake Racers Australia) record at Lake Gardiner in South Australia at the end of the month. Heading up the project were Triumph Australia and Ross Osborne from Supacustom, who with other team members agreed on a set of requirements before they began the undertaking: the bike would have to have wire wheels, a 360-degree crank and a fuel injection system. After countless hours, this carbon fiber-clad Triumph Salt Racer, boasting a few more horses than a regular Thruxton, was the result. Find out more about the build through the project’s official site.
