Kendrick Lamar‘s new album, To Pimp A Butterfly recently debuted at number one, having moved over 300,000 units in its first week of release. To celebrate, the Compton MC got together with Reebok to hold a live event in the streets of Los Angeles, where he performed a mix of some old and new songs as part of the brand’s #GETPUMPED initiative. After telling fans about it on Twitter, he rode down Sunset Boulevard on sixteen-wheeler flatbed and ended the night at the Reeebok Lounge on Melrose. “Reebok and I have a shared goal to inspire, so helping people to get pumped though music and fitness was perfect – performing in such a unique way, creating a real experience and encouraging people through a run in my hometown of L.A.,” he said. “Partnering with Reebok, we always want to do something different and that will get people moving and this is an example of us coming together to create something special.” Head to the next page to see photos from the event.
