Having collaborated last year on various adidas ZX Flux colorways, adidas Originals and Italia Independent join forces once again, this time partnering on a new eyewear collection. The range features seven colors of the 1969 model, inspired by the adidas Superstar and named after the year of the shoe's debut. Constructed from high-strength plastic with a scratch-resistant, soft-touch rubberized surface, the frames feature a timeless silhouette equipped with high-quality protective lenses, as well as shelltoe-inspired accents on the temples. Rounding out the collection is the elevated 1969 Hero, which also has shelltoe-inspired temple accents. There's also a golden bridge detail and mirrored lenses, featuring heat-sensitive thermic technology that changes color from matte black to a gold Trefoil logo pattern at a temperature of 30 degrees centigrade. Look for the shades to launch in stores this month.
