Ahead of the 2015 Masters, Nike has unveiled an inspirational short film starring Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. The promotional spot highlights the way in which extraordinary athletes inspire the next generation of the game's greats, with the focus on a young McIlroy intently watching Woods on television, and subsequently emulating the work ethic of his personal hero. The narrative is especially trenchant in light of last week's New York Times Magazine profile on McIlroy, which contained an anecdote about a nine-year-old Rory writing a letter to Tiger declaring that he was "coming to get" him. The film ends with the two competitors squaring off against each other, just as they will at Augusta. Dubbed "Ripple" and made in partnership with Wieden + Kennedy, the film comes in both one-and two-minute versions that are currently airing on ESPN and The Golf Channel. Check it out below.
