Narita International Airport Now Features Color-Coded Running Tracks

Several years ahead of the 2020 Summer Olympics that will be held in Tokyo, Terminal 3 at Narita International Airport has been redesigned to look like an indoor running track. Created by Japanese creative agency PARTY, the color-coded circuit circles and winds around the entire terminal, making it easy for travelers to find their gates and providing a comfortable walking experience. Consultants from Nikken were put in charge of construction while Muji was consulted for furniture and interior design. Interestingly enough, Terminal 3 has no walkways or illuminated signs. Instead, they use a system of red and blue lanes to signify arrivals and departures. Take a closer look below.
