For the second consecutive year, Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe gets the refined HTM treatment to go along with Nike Basketball‘s newest suite of performance technologies. The low-profile NikeLab KOBE X Elite Low HTM silhouette is available in three colorways, each boasting details obsessed over by the HTM team — Nike President and CEO Mark Parker, Nike Vice President of Creative Concepts Tinker Hatfield and fragment design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara.
The build uses a lightweight Flyknit upper constructed with a clear knit yarn to create translucent windows, while complementary Flywire delivers strength and stability. The shoe rides on hybrid cushioning system, combining Nike Lunarlon cushioning, Nike Zoom Air and Nike Free-inspired siping, good for flexibility where it’s needed the most. Additionally, the outsole boasts an advanced traction system featuring hundreds of “nodules” that grip the court. The shoe is finished with a unique aesthetic detail in the form of two different sets of aglets that screw onto the laces. The aglets vary in color, but each features a metallic finish and HTM lettering.
The NikeLab Kobe X Elite Low HTM will launch exclusively at NikeLab LNZ1 Milan on April 16, followed by a wider release through global NikeLab locations later in the summer.
