MINI might be best known for making those awesome little cars you see everywhere, but they recently teamed up with Channel Islands, purveyors of some of the world’s greatest surf gear since 1969, to debut their first ever surfboard. To create it, MINI enlisted the help of professional surfer Kalani Robb and Christopher Weil, head of their exterior design team. “For a long time I’d been wanting to create a board that would give me as much fun on the water as my MINI does on the road,” Robb said in a statement. “To create this feeling of agility and speed, we’ve developed a board with a little extra tail volume. The board’s wider outline and low rocker really make it fly.” The MINI x Channel Islands surfboard comes in the white and blue you see here, along with a Chili Red version, both of which will be available in June for $810.
