To the delight of fans around the world and those lucky enough to be at Auto Shanghai, Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled their new GLC Coupe Concept. Although the Mercedes-Benz Concept GLC Coupe is being described as a "near-production-standard study," here's no hiding the fact that this model is clearly aimed at the likes of the BMW X4, which is releasing later this year. Based on the second generation GLK body - but in an overall smaller package - the Mercedes-Benz Concept GLC Coupe is marked with a rear that has "distinct coupe heritage" complete with stacked quad stainless steel exhaust pipes and a line of LED taillights. Measuring 4.73m long and 2.83m wide, the Mercedes-Benz Concept GLC Coupe sits on large 21-inch alloy wheels and shines with full LED headlamps and a solar-beam paint job. Power is generated with a V6 bi-turbo 3.0-liter engine that developed 367 HP at 5,500 rpm and 384 lb-ft between 1,400 rpm and 4,000 rpm. Power is routed with the help of a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends it all to a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system for that signature MB feel.
