Last winter, Infiniti gave us a first look at their latest entry into the Gran Turismo video game franchise. Representing what the brand believes will be the future of their supercar line-up, the downloadable car boasted some amazing (virtual) statistics, resulting in over 75 million being downloaded. Now it seems we weren't the only ones drooling over the Sony Playstation vehicle as we are now seeing a real metal version of the Infiniti Vision Gran Turismo Concept, officially taking it out of cyberspace and into physical reality. Although it is still a theoretical exercise, the striking and sleek, low-profile super car boasts an amazingly polished body that still looks virtual. It's powered by a 4.5-liter V8 hybrid powertrain that pushes power down to the rear wheels and their center-lock carbon-fiber wheels, which makes the car look as if it were ready to pounce. Just as in the game, the physical car nicely balances the fluidity from its Chinese influences with the power that comes with a wide grill and broad fenders. It may not be anywhere close to production, but it's baby steps and that's something.
