Uber has officially announced the launch of their food delivery service, appropriately named UberEATS. Originally called UberFRESH, it tested first in Los Angeles and Barcelona, where it faired quite well. The positive response led the growing company to expand their business to New York and Chicago, allowing users to order from some of the most popular restaurants within minutes. This week's menu in NYC features items like an exclusive sandwich from American Cut, Kale Caesar salad from sweetgreen and a steak sandwich from Num Pang, while residents of the Windy City have their choice of Pepito Torta from XOCO, Carne Asada Cemita from Cemitas and more. If you already have the Uber app, all you have to do is follow the simple directions below.
1. Slide over to EATS (only visible when you’re in the coverage area) 2. Enter address or move pin to your location, and tap VIEW MENU 3. Select number of meals, tap PLACE ORDER, and your driver will be curbside in minutes
