One of the most famed names in horology and invention, Arnold & Son has roots that date back nearly 250 years. In fact, the British brand even played a significant role in Revolutionary War-era Naval navigation, developing the first marine chronometer back in the 1760's. Now the brand proudly celebrates their heritage with the release of the Arnold & Son DTE Double Tourbillon Escapement Watch, a timepiece that is quintessentially their own. Measuring 43.5mm wide, its 18k white gold case protects an elegant design within that secures to your wrist with a brown or black hand-stitched alligator strap. Twin crowns - each stamped with the proud brand logo - control two dial-mounted tourbillons, each with their own time zone indicated by blue hour and minute hands and independent second hands. The back features a see-through sapphire case back that contains the A&S8513 calibre movement and is capable of protecting the inner workings down to 30 meters. The only two downsides with this watch are its equally astounding price - each is over $218,000 - and the fact that only 28 will be made. So, while obviously not cheap, that's not what you should expect from a brand with a rich and generous history like Arnold & Son's.
