President Obama made an appearance at Nike World Headquarters today in support of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which promotes open commerce among the U.S. and eleven Pacific Rim nations. Like many visitors to Nike's campus, the President will not be leaving empty handed, though his new kicks won't be coming from the Nike Employee Store. Instead, the POTUS has been gifted with a shoe, the Jordan MTM, created by the brain trust of Nike CEO Mark Parker, Tinker Hatfield and Michael Jordan. Confirmed by Nike PR director Charlie Brooks, the presidential sneakers are said to have been assembled at Nike HQ, featuring a red, white and blue color scheme. Stay tuned for a first look.
