When Michael Jordan said he wanted patent leather on a sneaker - offering something for both on- and off-the-court wear - Tinker Hatfield answered the call with the Air Jordan 11. Often considered one of the most beloved signature models of all time, especially as Jordan wore it to another NBA Championship, the model's patent leather from heel to toe, ballistic mesh, and leather are now recreated in LEGO form. Using only existing Lego pieces (except for the Jumpman logos), everything about the white, black, and dark concord colorway of the original 1995 model is here, even a translucent look into the carbon fiber spring plate via the outsole. The project was taken on by a user named tomyoo23 on the Lego Ideas project site, where if support warrants it, more popular models can also be released and we could eventually see some of these designs in-stores. If you're in, head to the LEGO Air Jordan XI "Concord" project page and lend this guy some support.
