HBO has released the first official trailer for the second season of True Detective. Moody, tense and dark, the clip focuses on the season's four leads, played by Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch. Each is treated to brief montage, while the character's voiceover gives an indication of the storyline we can expect. We had known that the plot would involve a murder case set amid a backdrop of corruption in California. It's Rachel McAdamns' lines that are the most revealing, as she intones "This girl's gone missing, nobody cares. The interior's poisoned and suddenly worth billions, and nobody cares?" Check out the trailer below, and expect the second season of True Detective to premier June 21st on HBO.
