The Hundreds has teamed up for a capsule collection with Kenny Scharf, a principal figure from from the East Village Art movement of the ’80s. A painter, muralist and sculptor, Kenny is described by Bobby Hundreds as “a street artist without falling neatly into any graffiti category,” who’s known for his “signature color palette, his appropriation of popular cartoons, and his lightheartedness.” The Hundreds collaboration takes the form of a streetwear camping collection conceived by Kenny himself, featuring an all-over camo print hand painted by Kenny, as well as six custom paintings for a series of graphic tees. A standout piece is a durable poncho that, when unbuttoned, can be fastened together with multiple ponchos to create a fully functional tarp or tent. There’s also a reversible canvas jacket, reversible fleece zip-up jacket, reversible anorak and reversible hybrid shorts, all enhanced with Kenny’s distinctive designs. The goods launch this Friday through The Hundreds chapter stores, Caliroots in Stockholm and colette in Paris.
