Nike Hypervenom II
Following up on the groundbreaking Hypervenom soccer boot launched in 2013, Nike is now set to release the sequel. Improving upon the original was a tall order for the Nike design team of Nathan VanHook, Phil Woodman, Max Blau, and one of the first enhancements developed in the design process was Flywire, integrated into a responsive loft mesh of varying density levels throughout the upper. There’s also additional siping in heavy ball-contact areas for an enhanced touch. Additional benefits include a Flyknit collar — a first for a Nike Football boot — with an enhanced mesh upper, complete with NikeSkin and All Conditions Control (ACC). In response to player feedback, the sole plate of the Hypervenom II uses a softer compound than the original for added comfort. Rounding out the details are a split-toe design and agility traction pattern for a quick response and sudden changes of direction. The Nike Hypervenom 2 will be available via the Nike Football app beginning May 25 and online from May 27. A new women’s colorway will be available via the Nike Soccer app in North America on June 2
