Nike is following up its “Shooting Star” Pack from 2014 with yet another pack dedicated to Penny Hardaway, the former Orlando Magic point guard whose promising career was decimated by various injuries. The two models that make up the 2015 pack include the Nike Foamposite One “Sharpie,” inspired by the customized black and blue Foamposites that were the product of Penny’s artistry with a Sharpie. (Penny had been fined by the league during the first round of the 1997 NBA Playoffs for wearing road shoes that didn’t have enough black. Once he took Sharpie to shoe, he would go on to score 42 points in game 3 and 41 points in game 4, both scoring totals which are now immortalized on the sockliners of each shoe.) The Foamposite is mated with the Penny 6, draped in the signature colors of the Orlando Magic. Check out detailed looks in the following pages and stay tuned for word on a release date.
