Google has launched a standalone, unlimited photo and video service prosaically titled Google Photos. It's an entirely free sharing and editing service, available on Android, iOS and the web. A pinch-and-zoom interface allows the user to navigate the images, and an auto-grouping feature allows for easy finding of files without having to create albums or tags. The only (slight) tradeoff for the unlimited storage is compression of your files: resolution will be maintained up to 16MP for photos and 1080p for videos, and larger files will be compressed into print-quality resolutions. Go to the App Store or Google Play to download now.
