Ahead of New York City’s famed Puerto Rican Day Parade, Nike has unveiled a QS “Puerto Rico”-themed version of the Air Trainer 1 Mid that would be right at home at the annual summertime event. The ’80s-born silhouette is built with a white leather base, fortified with woven textile paneling in contrasting red and navy shades. Finishing details include a Puerto Rican flag on the heel, along with a green coqui frog, endemic to the U.S. territory, embroidered on the tongue. The kicks are available now through overseas retailers like Kasina. Stay tuned for word on a U.S. launch.
