After a decade of research and development, Nike introduced its flagship Zoom Air technology in 1995 through a trio of silhouettes: the Nike Air Marauder football cleat, Air Go LWP basketball shoe and Air Zoom LWP runner. Now in its twentieth year, Nike Zoom Air is still providing responsive, low-profile cushioning that athletes can feel, made possible by tightly-stretched tensile fibers woven inside a pressurized Nike Air unit. When the athlete’s foot touches down, the fibers compress to cushion the impact before quickly snapping back to their original state, generating an explosive, powerful response off the ground. The upshot: a fast, cushioned ride, whether it’s a morning run or marathon personal best.
The Fall 2015 Nike Zoom Air Collection comprises the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32 (available now in stores), Nike Air Zoom Elite 8 (available July 2nd), Nike Air Zoom Odyssey (available August 4th), Nike Air Zoom Structure 19 (available October 1st), and Nike Air Zoom Vomero 10 (available now).
