Apple announced the impending launch of its streaming music service today, and while Apple Music has features like "Connect" to differentiate itself, it remains to be seen whether the new kid in town will be able to encroach on Spotify's market share. A potential game changer could be an exclusive release of Kanye West's upcoming seventh studio album -- tentatively titled Swish -- through Apple Music. There's little doubt executives in Cupertino would have preferred to make the announcement during today's WWDC event, but BuzzFeed is reporting that talks between the two camps are still ongoing. There's a bit of a mutual admiration society going on between West and Apple, and with the artist recently distancing himself from Tidal, there's definitely light at the end of the negotiation tunnel. Stay tuned.
