To celebrate the 11th year of the Doernbecher Freestyle Program, Nike has teamed up with the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon, to release 11 pairs of a special “What The Doernbecher” Nike Dunk High SB. The shoe features design elements from all 13 of the program’s previous Nike SB designs, while also paying homage to the first Nike SB Dunk that launched the mashup “What The” concept. All 11 pairs of the “What The Doernbecher” — comprising one of each size from 8-12, along with a 13 and 14 — will be auctioned on eBay beginning June 11th for a 10-day period. Each pair comes packaged in scrubs from the Doernbecher staff, set in a one-of-kind box made from recycled skateboard decks. As always, proceeds from the sale of the shoe will benefit the hospital.
