"Winning was in his blood." This bold play on words is how director Stephen Frears decided to end the trailer for his new Lance Armstrong biopic, "The Program." Given the scale and depth of his fall, this obviously isn't the first in-depth documentary retelling his story, but it probably the most in-depth to-date. Starring Ben Foster in the lead role and Chris O'Dowd as David Walsh, the journalist who peeled back the layers behind Armstrong's deceit, the documentary follows Walsh's own account from his book, Seven Deadly Sins. The film also sees appearances by Dustin Hoffman, Lee Pace, and Guillaume Canet as the piece slowly pulls back the curtain behind Armstrong's rise and fall from fame following his bout with cancer and seven Tour de France yellow jerseys.
