In formulating the Spring/Summer 2016 collection for Dior Homme that was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, Kris Van Assche set up a goal to create a collection that spans "daywear, Friday wear and weekend wear," all while maintaining the rarefied elegance that's synonymous with the modern Dior brand. The Belgian designer adopted a game plan that incorporated hallmarks from the world of streetwear -- including liberal doses of camouflage and allover prints -- along with strictly middlebrow preppy staples like sweater vests and wool polo shirts. Leather pieces in exotic textures added a luxurious edge to the proceedings, but the sharply tailored suiting, even when accented with zippered detailing on the trouser legs, kept the French sartorial tradition alive.
