Ronnie Fieg and his KITH team have always been proud of their New York roots, and the this latest project with New Era pays homage to the celebrated sports franchise that’s synonymous with baseball and New York City itself. For the collaboration, KITH redesigned the authentic on-field 59FIFTY New York Yankees fitted, marking the first time ever that the official Yankees Hat will feature co-branding. The navy cap is now adorned with a gold-plated KITH emblem at the front, while the back is embroidered with the iconic Yankees logo. A 1996 World Series logo patch completes the look. Just 250 hats were created, and vouchers for each were purchased by lucky shoppers at KITH’s Manhattan location yesterday. The actual hat — modeled in the following pages by NY ambassadors Action Bronson, Coltrane Curtis, Dao-Yi Chao, Joey Badass, Michael Rapaport, Nigel Sylvester, Prodigy, Victor Cruz, and 13th Witness — will be available at a special one-day pop-up shop in Yankee Stadium.
