New Balance 4040v3 Baseball Cleat
Just as advanced statistics has transformed the way baseball players are evaluated, New Balance is changing how baseball spikes are designed, employing an exclusive Baseball Data-Driven Platform to create the new 4040v3 cleat. New Balance studied how players use their feet as a tool to generate power by collecting pressure-mapping data from professional, collegiate, and amateur athletes. The result is a shoe that uses a full-length REVlite RC Midsole to deliver premium responsiveness, acting in concert with an engineered insert featuring a “drive zone” under the forefoot up into the big toe. Rounding out the benefits are Toe Protect, Debris-Free Tongue construction and increased heel cushioning, providing all-around comfort to ensure maximum focus. Retailing for $100, the 4040v3 will be available in a range of sizes and widths starting in August 2015. Ahead of the official launch, look for the shoe to debut at the 2015 MLB All Star Game in Cincinnati.
