As American as apple pie and baseball, the Ford Mustang GT is a beautiful way to honor the Apollo Space program. Set to be offered up on auction later this month, the one-off model features a black and white exterior that draws inspiration from the NASA program, complete with shuttle-inspired decals and LED underbody lights reminiscent of the heat of atmospheric re-entry. The unique styling and honorary flair continues inside, with black leather sports seats with white accents and red contrast stitching along with a tribute to all of the Apollo missions in the rear. Under the hood, there isn't a rocket booster, but there is a 5.0-liter V8 engine with a Ford supercharger and sport exhaust, which pushes out 627 HP and 540 lb-ft of torque. All proceeds from the July 23 auction will benefit the EAA Youth Education Program, which provides free flights to young, future pilots.
