Targeted at the heart of current and potential Apple iPad owners of all sizes, Samsung introduces their new Galaxy Tab S2. Rolling out in two sizes - a 9.7-inch and an 8.0-inch - both models boast a metal frame construction with a needle-thin design that is even more narrow than the iPad Air 2. Both models feature 2048x1536-resolution Super AMOLED displays and a muscular chipset that includes an octa-core Quad 1.9 GHz and Quad 1.3 GHz CPUs, 3GB of RAM, and 32/64 GB of storage. Other features include WiFi or WiFi+LTE connectivity, built-in microSD storage and fingerprint scanners, the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, and a 8MP rear and 2.1MP front camera. Will this be enough to continue to push the needle further away from Apple? We'll know shortly after both models release in early August.
